Variations of one photo

On Saturday I took a photo of our community's clubhouse during the snowfall. I tried, but failed, to get streaks made by snowflakes. My shutter speed was 2 seconds. What is your technique for showing snow flakes?

I was interested in trying different digital filters on this photo, so my variations and descriptions are below. Unfortunately I failed to adequately keep track of what I did to accomplish each variation. I would love to learn of your techniques for noting changes in each variation of a photo.

-original is the unedited file out of the camera. I wanted to use a long shutter speed to show the streaks from falling showflakes, but these streaks can only be seen when looking at the front doors.
